Visa:

1. Type : Tourist, Business and Transit.

2. Processing Time : 7-10 working days.

3. Requairements :
    (1) One Visa application form and one LTP - visa to europe order form plus Additional form. VERY IMPORTANT: You must sign question 37 AND the last block on page 3

    (2) Recent Passport Size photographs :
      (45mm x 35mm) taken against a white background with good contrast/clear/good quality, printed on normal photographic paper, and full face without sunglasses or head covering. Please do not stick or staple your photos. (china applicants need three photos.)

    (3) Your passport(s) :
      Your passport validity must exceeds by more than 3 month the validity of requsted Schengen visa. Your UK visa must be valid at least 3 months after you come back from your trip. Exception will/might be made (1 moth) for people returning for good to their country of residence on presentation of their confirmed return ticket to their home country. Your UK visa must be in your current passport if not enclose the passport with your UK visa to your current passport. ( South African TEMPORARY PASSPORT is not accepted by embassy.)

    (4) Proof/confirmation of tickets & accommodation :
      These must be original and not photocopy/fax etc. Internet proof of Ticket & Accommodation is also acceptable. If visiting friends/relatives (if you are invited by somebody in France) then he/she has to write an invitation letter for you and confirm that he/she is your host and obtain a French certificate of board and lodging (“Attestation d'Accueil“) to be obtained from the French local townhall (“Mairie“) or police station (“Commissariat de police“ / ’Gendarmerie’) by the applicant's host in France and send it to you with his/her bank statement and an utility bill showing his/her name and address. If you are traveling to somewhere else after a few days in France (eg Italy) then you also have to show the proof of ticket and accommodation for it. Overall the time spent in France must be more than other countries after France.

      If you are traveling with EuroStar from London to Paris and coming back the same day then you don not need proof of Accommodation.

      Note : If you are going to France, but for example you are landing in Geneva Switzerland then intending to go to France which is your main destination then you'll also need the proof of traveling between Geneva and France eg: Rental car, Train, Flight...etc with your names and details and proof of payment.

      Note : As from the 27th of April, people travelling to France for tourism will have to provide a reservation confirmation issued directly by the hotel clearly stating the visa national's full names, the dates of check-in and out, the hotel address and contact details. Bookings made via a reservation centre or travel agencies will no longer be accepted. To ensure that visa nationals comply with the legislation in regards to the reality of stay in France, controls will be made prior and after the visa has been granted.

    (5) Recent Bank statements :
      The one which bank post it to you every month, all the pages - not older than one month. It should NOT be overdraft at all, bank statement must show a minimum balance of 30 pounds per day spent in France. If you haven't received your recent bank statement yet or you know you have enough money in your account then enclose your last bank statement you already have plus go to any branch of your bank and ask them to give you a print out for your latest transactions up to date then send both together to us. If you do internet banking then internet print out is OK as long as it shows your name and enclosed with your latest bank statement which you received by post. OR Travelers' cheques (of the same amount), equivalent of 45 pounds in (Euro) a day per day spent in France.

    (6) A recent employment from your employer and your last three payslips/School letter :
      Employment letter must NOT be older than one month stating the position within the company, starting date,certifying continued employment after the trip and last 3 payslips. No contract letter please. We also need your last three payslip. School letter must not be older than one monthand must stating the type of studies, details ... and attendance record.

      Note : If working for a private household, you also need to show your employer's passport and a letter from him/her confirming employment.

      Note : If you are self employed then a letter from a solicitor, accountant or bank manager confirming self employment.

      Note : If you are unemployed then you also need your spouse's passport + marriage certificate + letter from spouse's employer and bank statement.

    (7) A medical Travel Insurance :
      The validity of your travel insurance must be same as the validity of your requested visa or your application will be rejected. (eg 3moth, 6 month,1 year, 10 days ...)it doesn't matter if you have indefinite visa or long term visa, you have to have insurance according to the requested visa. Your travel insurance must cover REPATRIATION. post office insurance is not acceptable.

    (8) If your visa is a dependent...
      1- we need your husband/wife or parents..etc passports too plus supporting letter and recent bank statements,employment letter,Marriage certificates(which should be translated in English if it isn't in English and must be stamped by your embassy in UK after translation).

      2- For minors travelling with both their parents you need a full birth certificate (Translated in English if needed and must be certified with your embassy in UK) plus both parents passports.

      3- For minors travelling without or with one of their parents, a parental authorisation to travel + both parent's passports + full birth certificate of the child.

    (9) If the applicant is inactive and married :
      recent letter from the spouse's employer/school together with the spouse's original passport and marriage certificate.

      If you are married to a British/Irish citizen : you only need to Bring you & your Wife/Husband passport, filled application forms and orgional marriage certificate. if the marriage certificate is in another language then you need to translate it then certify it with your emba.

      Then you do NOT need the majority of the documents above. You would only need item numbers:1,2,3 plus your wife/husband passport plus a photocopy of it's first page and original marriage certificate.

    (10) If you are a business traveler or attending a conference...
      In addition to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 you also need to have relevant document which is a formal and recent letter of invitation(not older than one month)from the French company/branch confirming the business/conference trip to France plus stating purposes and frequency of the trip and if they are paying for your expenses while you are there. A confirmed return ticket to France (no open ticket/no itinerary) and any other document which you think are relevant and useful.

    (11) If you are under 18 years then you also need :
      1- Original full Birth certificate (It should be translated if not in English or French and must be stamped (certified)by your Embassy in UK).

      2- Letter from your parents or guardians saying that they give you the permission and provide you with the financial ..etc support during your trip.

      3- Photocopy of your parent's passport (first page) and their original passports.

      4- Parents original marriage certificate + translation (if not in English or French) and certified by your embassy.

      5- The Livert de famille (family book) is also requested for the child of a French national.

4. You may NOT use our services, ie you must logde the application by yourself if :

    (1) You have a tourist or visitors British visa.

    (2) Your UK visa expires in 3 month and your passport expires in less then 6 months.

    (3) You live in Scotland and Isle of Man.

    (4) You have been rejected in Schengen Visa from any of the member state.

    (5) You are a national of either of the following countries : Afghanistan. Algeria, Birmanie ( Myanmar ), Burundi, The Democratic Republic of Congo ( previously Zaire ), Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Refugees ( Convention 1951 Travel Document Holders ), Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Holders of C-Visas/British residency valid form 6 month or less as from the date of arrival in the UK.

5. Validity :

    (1) Short-stay visas are valid for 6 months from date of issue for single- or multiple entries of maximum 90 days per entry.

    (2) Transit visas are valid for single- or multiple entries of maximum 5 days per entry, including the day of arrival.

    (3) Visas cannot be extended; a new application must be made each time.

    Note : You should always remember it is up to the embassy to give you a visa or not with any particular validity no matter what you applied.
